Frequently Asked Questions
I fully stand behind this work and how transformation it really is, which is why it's backed by a money-back guarantee. I want you to feel confident investing in your family, not worried about taking a risk. You can read the full terms here Terms & Conditions, but the short version is: if you show up to all seven sessions and consistently practice the parenting skills over a minimum term of 3 months, and genuinely see no improvement in your child's behaviour, I will give you a full refund.
Therapy for children usually works directly with the child, often to process something specific. This programme works entirely with you, the parent, because you're the one with your child day in, day out, at breakfast, at bedtime, in the meltdown moments therapy can't reach. The way we parent has such a significant impact on a child's life. I help you understand what's really driving your child's behaviour and give you practical, evidence-based tools to better manage that and make positive changes at home, in real time. For a lot of families, that's a faster and more sustainable route to change than therapy alone, and the two can absolutely work well alongside each other if your child is also seeing a specialist.
Life with a challenging child rarely follows a neat schedule, so we build the pace around what works for your family. Most parents complete their six sessions within a few months, but we can space them out further if you need more time between sessions to practise and embed what we've covered. Generally, the closer the sessions take place, the more quickly parents can gain momentum and make progress, however, this isn't a race, it's about real, lasting change, not ticking boxes.
Yes, absolutely. Many of the parents I work with are on a waiting list, still in the assessment process, or simply have a strong instinct that something is going on. You don't need a diagnosis to get support, and you don't need to wait for one to start making things calmer at home. We focus on your child's individual temperament and behaviour, not a label.
Generally, it is best if both parents can attend the sessions, however, I understand this is not always possible. Where only one parent can attend, we can record the sessions so the other parent can watch those and get up to speed when convenient for them. Many parents come through this programme solo, and you'll still walk away with a personalised plan and practical strategies you can bring home and share. That said, change tends to stick fastest when both parents are on the same page, so if your partner can make the time to catchup on the content between sessions, that would result in more effective change.
